When considering the location and number of security cameras for a new project,need know FOV of cameras to calculate the camera coverage.Do you know what's the mean of FOV? Here we will explain about it.
FOV(Field of View) refers to the solid angle of scene opposite the camera lens.Diagram as below:

Sometimes,there is backlighting phenomenon of surveillance cameras.What's the reason of backlightingphenomenon and how to solve it? Here we will show you three ways.

First, adjust the installation location of camera
By adjusting the location of the camera, as far as possible to avoid the direct sunlight.Don't install the cameras towards entrance.Those are effective ways to avoid backlighting phenomenon.

Second,select the cameras which support WDR function
The the WDR(Wide Dynamic Range) function of camera can reduce the backlight phenomenon, this function also can solve the screen contrast backlight problem.Both MVTEAM IP cameras and AHD cameras support WDR function.You can turn on WDR function thru OSD menu or UTC function.Following is WDR funtion of our 4MP AHD Camera for you reference.

Third, improve the indoor light illumination, select the cameras with BLC function
By increasing the illumination of the indoor light is another way to reduce the backlight phenomenon.Backlight phenomenon is mainly caused by strong contrast of light intensity in field of view.Cameras installed in the entrance,usually with strong outdoor light and weak indoor light, In this way, if increasing the illumination of indoor light,reduce the contrast with the outside light,can reduce the backlight phenomenon.Some cameras also support BLC(backlight compensation function) function,turn on BLC function,also can help to solve backlight  problem.Below is the BLC function of our 4MP AHD Camera for your reference.

Installing surveillance cameras at home is an effective option for keeping your house and family safe and secure. The Entrances

It is extremely important to have a security camera installed outside your home, which is directed towards your front door, with a clear, unhindered view of your doorway. Rear Windows

Thieves would love nothing more than gaining a convenient entry into your home via open or unlocked windows on the ground level.Your rear window is probably the one that goes unsupervised, making entering through it go undetected. A robber can use it to enter your place, collect his booty, and make his way out as easily as he came in.It makes perfect sense to have cameras installed, such that they face the rear window and other vulnerable windows which may be obscurely visible. Make sure you not only keep them shut, but also locked, especially when you leave your home and before going to bed at night.

The Backyard

How to add IP camera to the specified channel on NVR?

As we know if you wanna add cameras to the specified channels on DVR,check the back panel of DVR and will find there are CH1,CH2,CH3...marked on it .For example , if you wanna camera 1 show on channel 1 on DVR, you just need to connect camera 1 to CH1 on back panel of DVR. But for NVR, there is just only one network cable to connect , then how to do?Here we use MVTEAM NVR as example to show how to add IP camera to the specified channel on NVR?

1-After connecting IP cameras to NVR, if you choose to search IP cameras automatically,then IP cameras will randomly show on channels .

2-To make sure the IP cameras can be added on the specified channels on NVR, please add cameras manually.For example the IP address of IP cameras is 192.168.1.88,and you wanna add it to the channel4,please see the picture as below:

Click “Manually add” ,then select “Channel04” and fill in the IP address of IP camera 192.168.1.88,at last click “OK”.We will see the camera (192.168.1.88)will be showed on channel4.
