How to Setup Audio for MVTEAM 5-in-1 Hybrid DVR?

MVTEAM 5-in-1 hybrid DVRs support audio, after connect audio pickup device to the DVR audio-in, also need do two-step settings on dvr menu. Then, you can hear the audio and dvr will record video&audio at the same time. The settings as below:

Step 1: Enter dvr menu--> System--> Encode--> Choose the Channel which you connect audio pickup device--> Enable the Audio as below:

Step 2: Open the voice for the channel which you connect audio pickup device.

If you want to hear the voice, also need connect louder speaker to DVR audio-output. If the dvr is connected to monitor which has louder speaker, then, don't need connect another louder speaker to dvr audio-ouput, you can hear the voice from monitor.

How to Adjust the Image Color of AHD CCTV Cameras?

The image color of new CCTV cameras are factory setting, but everyone has different request about the image color, so we make the image color of camera adjustable by users. In this post, we will show you how to adjust the image color of MVTEAM AHD CCTV cameras.

1080P/2MP AHD Cameras Color Adjust

Enter the camera menu by OSD button or UTC function,choose IMAGE ADJ.

Here you can adjust the CONTRAST and GAIN.

Default value of the R GAIN is 50, if you think the color is red, then can reduce the R GAIN to 30, or any other value you think the color looks good.

3MP&4MP AHD Cameras Color Adjust

Enter the camera menu by OSD button or UTC function,choose ADJUST.

Then,choose MONITOR

Here you can adjust the RED GAIN or Blue GAIN.

If you think the factory setting color is better than the color you set, you can reset the camera to factory settings by press the RESET.

If you use MVTEAM 5-in-1 DVR, also can adjust the color for each channel camera in DVR menu.

Right click DVR mouse on camera image,choose color setting.

Here you can adjust the color of each channel,the color change is obviously when adjust the Contrast.

How Motion Recording Works for Security Camera System?

Motion recording can save the recording capacity for your security system, do you know how motion recording works, and how the camera environment affects the motion recording. When you are setting motion detection in camera, you have to be mind of the three things: motion area, sensitivity of the motion detection, and recording period. 

Motion area is as important as motion sensitivity, because both determine when the recording start. When setting up motion area, it is very important to limit motion active area in the video, so you can achieve even more save in the recording storage.

Motion sensitivity is not as straight forward as the motion area. Based on your selection, security camera system will use camera’s Field of View, to determine when an object can trigger the motion recording. In example, small area like indoor room or backyard, where the object correctly resented, you can use medium setting of the motion sensitivity range. For large areas like halls, auditorium, or outdoor scenes, the objects in the Field of View of the security camera will be small; because of this, it is necessary for one to use settings that are higher than the middle number, when determining camera’s sensitivity.

Lastly, you can adjust when the motion recording should start and stop. 

Motion detection works best in small areas and it’s fit for residential or retail environment. But for larger area such as outdoor of parking lot or inside warehouse, it is recommended for one to use 24-hour recording setting. The good news is, most security camera system have each channel recording independent from one another. This means, you can use mixture motion detection for some cameras that fit the above criteria, whereas 24-hours for the other cameras.

UTC Function--How to switch the AHD, TVI, CVI Modes for 2MP Hybrid CCTV Cameras?

MVTEAM 2MP hybrid cctv cameras support AHD, TVI, CVI, CVBS 4 modes. If there is no osd button on cable of camera, you can switch the mode by UTC function. UTC also is named coaxial control, means control the camera menu via DVR. Here we use MVTEAM DVR as an example show how to switch the mode by UTC. 

Steps as below:

Right click DVR mouse-->choose coaxial control, the UTC control panel will pop up.

Click the blue button in UTC control panel to call the camera OSD menu. 

Then, choose "NEXT", click blue button again.

Choose "SYSTEM", click blue button

Choose "NEXT" in system menu, click blue button.

Here you can see the OUTPUT SPD, you can choose A, T, C, CVBS modes by click the right/left button in UTC control panel.

All MVTEAM hybrid cameras support switch the modes by UTC function, steps are similar,only camera menu different. Any more questions, welcome to contact us.
