Maintenance of CCTV Camera Lens

Along with day after day passing by, a brand new camera lens will be dirty and obscured. Hence, how are we gonna do to keep it clean effectively? Let's see.

1. Position setting 
Cameras should not be placed at the position which point to the sunlight straightly. It leads to the span-life of sensors will be shortened. 

2. Regular inspection
To prevent lens from liquids, such as oil , vapor , dust contact with it. Thus, a periodical check is needed.

3. Clean job 
Do not wipe the camera lens with irritating detergents or organic solvents. 

4. Cable connection 
Twisting or dragging which is not good for camera set up. 

5. Parts removal 
Besides under emergency circumstances, please don't try to pry the cameras interior accessories by your own. This will harm to cameras and belong to individual responsibilities. 

Maintenance is indispensable for camera lens. Do it right, camera and lens will be as new as the day you have bought.

Both IP Camera and NVR have their own system time,when use IP camera and NVR together,it will display two system time in one screen.

Some users maybe feel confused and want to hide one time.For MVTEAM IP NVR system,we suggest using NVR system time and hide the time of IP cameras.Here we will guide you how to setup.

Firstly please know the time on the left is for IP cameras,and the other one is for DVR/NVR.
The default time of them is a little different.The way to setup time for ip camera and nvr are as below:
1)Setup IP Camera system time.

2)-Setup NVR system tiem.
Enter the menu of NVR as below , then click “Set Time”, after modifying the time , please click “Save”.


Secondly,hide the time of IP cameras .
Please log in IPC by IP address via IE, and enter the "OSD Settings",don't check the Checkbox of time,date,week as below, then, click"Save".

After above setting,the system will just show the time of NVR.

Please note:When playback video record on NVR, it will according to the time of NVR, not the time of IPC.

What settings of AHD cameras can be realized by UTC function?

Before, if want to do settings of AHD cameras,need add OSD menu. Now all MVTEAM AHD cameras can support UTC function except 1.3MP AHD Camera(AR0130+NVP2431H). And it can be controlled by 5 in 1 hybrid DVR.What settings of AHD cameras can be realized by UTC ? Here we’ll have a full view of UTC function.The menu of AHD camera can come out by "Coaxial control"on DVR and can do settings by the buttons:

PRIVACY MASK: can hide the area you don’t want to be seen

Mode: we choose the hide by mosaic.
Range: can set the area you want to hide.
On the poster, part of the letters we set to be with mosaic.

HLC:If turn on HLC, it can hide the places with strong light. You can compare the following pictures when it’s on and off. The window with strong light are covered when HLC is on.

In CCTV camera system,there are many different interfaces for video signal and control signal,how long can they transfer signal?Today we talk about the transmission distance of different video signal interfaces and control signal interfaces.

A.Video Signal Interfaces
1.Composite video signal: BNC

According to the impedance can be divided into SYV 50-XX, SYV 75-XX, SYV-100 XX, ... 
XX means the outside diameter(unit: mm) of insulation layer. 
75-3 transmission distance: about 200 meters; 
75-5 transmission distance: about 500 meters; 
75-7 transmission distance: about 500 - 800 meters; 
75-9 transmission distance: about 1000 - 1500 meters; 
75-12 transmission distance: about 2000 - 3500 meters.

2.S-VIDEO transmission distance: about 15 meters.

3.VGA tansmission distance: 15-30 meters.


4.HDMI transmission distance: Max. 15 meters


5.SDI transmission distance can reach 300-500 meters, but this is only a theoretical transmission distance, generally, HD SDI transmission distance is 10-150 meters without signal loss, which is in very good cable case.


B.Control Signal Interfaces
1.RS-232: Transmission rate is low, transmission distance is 15 meters to 20 meters.

2.RS-422 has stronge anti-interference ability, can transmit 1200 meters, the maximum transmission rate is 10Mb/s.


3.RS-485: maximum communication distance is about 1219 meters, the maximum data transfer rate is about 10Mbps.
